Untold hours of media mixing and autoclave run time should not be the bottleneck to obtaining experimental data. On the other hand, reliable media are critical for reliable experimental results. We offer a wide range of E. coli media in formats that reduce media preparation time. Your E. coli cultures depend on consistent, high-quality media...and happy cells make better protein. Terrific Broth is a highly enriched granulated medium to improve the yield of plasmid DNA from E. coli. The granules ensure rapid and uniform dissolution in water, and prevent clumping of the medium and inhalation of the airborne powder. The composition of the Terrific Broth per liter is 12 g tryptone, 24 g yeast extract, 9.4 g potassium phosphate, dibasic, and 2.2 g potassium phosphate, monobasic. Use 47.6 g of granulated medium per liter of water.
